There's something else about starbucks.
PLEASE, if you are going to read this.. read the WHOLE THING.. not just part. If you only read half and are offended, I feel that you would be more offended than if you were to finish. that being said, read on.
Earlier in life (this blog or another... I do not know), I wrote a post about starbucks stating that it's sooo cool because of the atmosphere... I realize now that i was wrong about them. Here's why:
1. it's the people who go there, not the place itself
2. I have heard that they sponsor/support 2 things I don't agree with. I won't mention them.. wait.. yeah I will
Here they are:
Planned parenthood, and Nationally recognized abortion clinic (and statutory-rape-case ignorer)
Gay pride parades.
These are VERY hot button issues in our nation right now... I haven't done research on this claim yet, but until I find out, I will not go to starbucks.. so if you're thinking about getting me a gift card from starbucks, get me an iTunes card.
As a Christian I cannot support planned parenthood because of Jer 1:5 -
5 “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Though It's God talking to someone specific, I'm CERTAIN, that if it's for one, it applies to ALL.. there's no way that God could know one person, and not another.
And some people may say "I don't think abortion is right - unless it's a rape case." So, because the baby was formed against the will of the mother, it's not a real baby?
I feel that any child conceived has a DESTINY to move mountains and shake the heavens and the gates of hell with their prayers. and there is nothing that can budge me from this idea.

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
I think that says it all.. I will not support a thing that exalts and praises the very thing that God says will send someone to hell. I know these words are harsh, but It's been said to me before, the truth hurts sometimes.. Hebrews 12:11 - For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
So like I said before.. Starbucks is no longer the happy-go-lucky "goody-goody" thing I thought it was. Oh well.. Disillusionment is good.

I am not CONDEMNING YOU.. nor am I JUDGING YOU... those things are for God to do, and not me. what i am doing is simply telling you what God has told me and my own personal convictions. That doesn't mean that this is true for me and not for you.. there is ONE TRUTH, and that one truth applies to ALL. what's true for you is true for me is true for mohammed is true for budah (sp I don't caare). the deal is this... JESUS CHRIST IS THAT ONE TRUTH FOR ALL.. we just need to find out where he fits into all parts of our lives.

I don't agree with your stance on homosexuality, but I am not about to debate my reasons here, and anyway you have already said you aren't prepared to debate your opinions.
However my main point is this. You close off you post with, "Blessings to ALL.. " which is all very well, but I am afraid it is rather difficult to believe you are sincere in your blessings.
Robert if you sincerely want to reach people other than Christians, how can you expect them to have any respect for you or your religion, if you can't even be respectful enough to write an important religious figure's name correctly namely Buddha. Not only do you spell the name incorrectly, you acknowledge it and indicate that you don't care, whereas if you had any respect at all, instead of taking the time to indicate you spelt the name incorrectly and didn't care, you would have taken the time to spell the name correctly.
Anyway that is just a suggestion you might want to consider if you really are sincere in your dialogue.
