So.. I've never been so gripped over the elections (it's only my second one), but the Lord gave a certain grace this morning as I loaded the Global Bridegroom Fast webstream from IHOP-KC. I began weeping over the unborn, and pleading for LIFE, and that voters today would abandon their party affiliation unto a Greater Affiliation, of one to Christ, and His morals.
Hey Guys. I got this from the Bound4Life people, who are also with the Justice House of Prayer.
"An Urgent Appeal
The Massachusetts legislator will hold a Constitutional Convention to vote upon the Marriage Amendment on June 14th 2007. This is the FINAL vote necessary to bring the marriage amendment to the ballot in November of 2008! This is a defining moment. All of our prayers and labor come down to the outcome of this vote! We have fought too long and too hard to relent now. This is an appeal for you, the church, to engage your heart afresh and fight this battle, until the end. We must realize our eternal responsibility to the generation in which we live and the generations to come. Our children and our children’s children will reap the fruit of our action or inaction at this time!
Throughout this battle we have seen the hand of God move in extraordinary ways even in the midst of great adversity. We are once again faced with great opposition. Below is an excerpt from a recent Vote on Marriage update detailing the challenges facing us.
“On May 17, 2004, just six months before the last presidential contest, the nation's first legal same-sex weddings took place in Massachusetts, following a landmark state high court decision. The stepped-up lobbying and reports of changed votes come as same-sex marriage advocates celebrate the third anniversary of the first such weddings today with a party and a $750,000 media campaign.
A final vote by the Legislature on the constitutional ban could take place as early as June 14, when lawmakers reconvene at a constitutional convention, but would be delayed by leaders if the votes are not yet in place.” - Boston Globe May 17th 2007
On June 14, one month from today, the legislature will again meet in Constitutional Convention where the fate of your right to vote on marriage may be decided. We face fierce opposition...
*An all out attack on the Marriage Amendment by Governor Deval Patrick, (click for Globe story) who decried that Massachusetts will become a "circus" if the people get the change to vote on marriage.
*House Speaker and Senate President who are enticing lawmakers, with the full strength of their powerful offices, to vote against your right to vote
*Pressure on Beacon Hill lawmakers from the Democratic National Committee in Washington, at the urging of gay-rights activists, to vote NO on the amendment.
*And attorney general (click for Globe story) who has put her personal preference for gay marriage above her professional duty and vowed to use all the resources of her office to strike down the Marriage Amendment if it is enacted by the people.
Clearly, the Massachusetts political establishment is against us. But the Massachusetts Constitution is for us! The pressure is mounting from every side, and we must ask you to stand strong with us as we rally for a final legislative vote!”

PRAYER- our greatest weapon
One of the greatest examples of the power of prayer to shape history is seen in the life of Rees Howells. He was a man who believed that his intercession could influence the Battle of Britain. In reading from his journal it reveals that specific times in intercession would coincide with specific victories won militarily. Winston Churchill in War Memoirs tells one specific account. (Excerpt from Rees Howells Intercessor by Norman Grubb) “The moment came when he finally asked the Air Marshal “What other reserves have we?” “There are none,” he answered, and reported afterward how grave Mr. Churchill had looked. “And well I might,” added the Prime Minister. Then after five minutes passed, and “it appeared that the enemy were going home. The shifting of the discs on the table showed a continuous eastward movement of German bombers and fighters. No new attack appeared. In another ten minutes the action was ended.”
There seemed no reason why the Luftwaffe should have turned for home just at the moment when victory was in their grasp. But we know why.
After the war, Air Marshal Lord Dowding, commander-in –chief of the Fighter Command in the Britain Battle, made this revealing observation: “Even during battle one realized from day to day how much external support was coming in. At the end of the battle one had the sort of feeling that there had been some special Divine intervention to altar some sequence of events which would have otherwise have occurred.””
Our Response- Raise up an unrelenting cry of prayer!
“And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8

guys this is important. The bible strictly states that homosexuality is sin, and (correct me if I'm wrong) was a part of the reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. it also states specifically that marriage is between a man and a woman. only. so take a stand, and pray for this major decision that's happening in less than 2 weeks in Massachusetts.
